Performance
Performing has always been an important part of my musical life, from the concerts organised by my piano teacher when I was in primary school to performing Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto with the Tempus Chamber Orchestra at Regent’s Hall, Oxford Circus. These experiences helped to shape my development as a musician and continue to influence my work as both a performer and teacher.
My performing career has given me the opportunity to play and collaborate with many excellent musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds. I am equally at home playing bass guitar in a local covers band as I am performing in a classical chamber ensemble.
I have also accompanied many students for their graded music examinations. I find this work particularly rewarding, as it allows me to support candidates in the exam room and help them perform at their best. Because I regularly accompany exams myself, I am also able to prepare my own students thoroughly and give them a clear understanding of how the exam process works.
